New look for ACM

ACM is trialling a new look - more modern, cleaner, less cluttered, and most importantly, easier to read. Features will be tweaked over the coming weeks.

looks ok to me…but as long as the message is consistent and delivered…thats the important thing imo. well done.

Thanks, Dave. I’m going to leave it as-is for a while and then decide on whether to re-arrange the sidebars.

Have to agree. The sidebars seem to almost dominate the page now.
(Of course, climate change is probably to blame)

OK ..Happened to not like the black text involved with live blog roll, tag cloud numbers etc and ended up leaving with out a comment, then on searching Obama’s speech on The White House site http://www.whitehouse.gov/ came across an ideal substitute colour for your carbon black text….. Looks a reddish brown. Change and you will instantly reduce your black footprint…..LOL

PS any chance of an OZ spell checker (color)

You are doing very well , so keep on , and dispatching dissenters Ideas , Facts must yeald to Ideas , and that is the diference in propaganda . Remove the obvious clutter and keep the facts and truth.

New layout is quite nice and clean, but having two columns to the right distracts from the main item. Be better if there was one column to the right, taking up less than two thirds of what is used now to give the news item more impact.
