Thank You Simon and a Happy Holiday or ‘Uaka’ (the original Egyptian Festival for this time of the year) to you.

The word Chrst is Egyptian and it meant ‘BURIAL’. It appears on the coffin lids of many mummies which had been ‘anointed’ with embalming fluids and nacre. In time people got the meaning mixed up. The wrong meaning has been around for a long time since the Septuagint uses it in Isaiah 45:1 to name the King Cyrus of Persia ‘Christ’. This verse is on the Persian Cylinder in the British Museum, reading slightly differently.

Hadrian also referred to Bishops of the Egyptian cult of Serapis as ‘Chrestians’.

Happy Christmas Simon – and to all like minded people, even the alarmists… perhaps some Christmas spirit will invigorate their souls to come clean, be more real and show their human side again – Do keep up the great work.

….but please – no more slipping towards the politically correct use of holiday instead of Christmas – I now tell people who push this term that its an insult to our traditions.
