Check out Leonard "Spock" Nimoy presenting an episode of the "In Search Of…" series in the late 1970s about the changing climate - and the coming Ice Age. Stick with it to part 3 to hear the late Stephen Schneider spreading what one can only call Global Cooling Alarmism:

yeah i recall this…as well as several programs on bbc and even david attenborough followed the consensus at the time… 1970′s winters in the uk were cold, only broken by the 1976 hot summer…

Some AGW alarmists actually try and deny that the ice-age alarm ever occurred. Truly sad.

“To capture the public imagination, we have to offer up some scary scenarios, make simplified dramatic statements and little mention of any doubts one might have. Each of us has to decide the right balance between being effective and being honest.”

Dr Stephen Schneider – 1989
(A leading public advocate of sharp reductions of greenhouse gas emissions to combat global warming.)

It’s sad that the coming ice age (unlike warming) really will kill millions but at least it will end the AGW scam.
