As a fellow Aussie, I really appreciate being able to get the truth about the outcome of Copenhagen AGW wise, but I'm still really concerned about the hidden details highlighted by Lord Monckton. What has Ruddie committed us to, in terms of dollars or a Global taxing regime? Not much being written about this, and the nasty implications it will have on Australia's sovereignty!

Hardly a surprise. If they had actually achieved a binding deal - one which national governments could then implement - then the IPCC could be wound up. All the so-called "climate research" organisations could also be wound up. We could bring back Kofi Annan (and his son) to resucitate the old UN "Oil-for-Food" organisation which could then assume the residual responsibilities of the IPCC to manage the slush fund. Everyone else could relax and get back to work and stop junketing around the world every few months, which must be a huge imposition on their personal lives.

No -- I don't think these guys are stupid enough to actually "close the deal". After all - what would we do with all the unemployed "climate scientists" and Department of Climate Change bureaucrats? There is only a finite demand for taxi-drivers and pizza-deliverers.

Onward to "victory" at COP-16 in Mexico .. or COP-17 in Sth Africa ... or COP-18 ...
